Amanprana Extra Virgin and Organic Walnut Oil is a great source of the co-enzyme Q10, lechtine, vegetal sterols (B- sitosterol, delta - 5 avenasterol, campesterol and others), polyphenols (290mg / 100g), vitamin E (23 mg / 100g) and Vitamin K (15mcg / 100g).
This Walnut Oil does not contain gluten or other allergens from the EFSA list (2003/89/EC). Amanprana Extra Virgin Walnut Oil is a non-standardized natural product. The nutritional value varies per lot.
The nuts are neither preheated nor roasted. When heated, Walnuts will give a higher yield of oil, but the quality suffers as a result. As such Amanprana takes care not to heat nor roast the walnuts used for this Amanprana Extra Virgin Walnut Oil.

Franck Monsallier uses his orchard, which consists of a blend of four walnut varieties, to create a walnut oil with a delicate and pure Périgord flavor.
The nuts are crushed in an authentic granite grinder until a homogeneous mass is created. After this, the nuts are pressed in an authentic and unique press designed by Frank Monsallier himself. What makes the grinder unique and perfectly suited for Walnut oil is that no heat is generated. Granted that the yield is lower with this cold process, the quality is superior and the taste mellower.
Because of the lower yield, only 1 litre of extra virgin walnut oil can be produced from 5 to 6 kg walnuts. This would take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The result is an oil with a lipid peroxidation of less than 2mg and an acidity of less than 0.5%, which is outstanding.
Amanprana chose to create a mild walnut oil with subtle aromas. In order to protect this oil from light, Amanprana also chose for a dark glass bottle, wrapped in paper.
Do not heat. Store in a dark and cool place. Use within 5 months of opening.
